What is Standby Mode?Updated 2 years ago

Watch this quick video explaining how Standby Mode works:


Standby Mode is our router’s power-saving feature. When the device is not in use, like when you’re sleeping or away on vacation, it switches to “Standby Mode” and temporarily disconnects to save energy and limit data use while still delivering powerful, high-speed internet to your home or on the go.

When you are ready to go online, simply select the WiFi network from your device and your router will re-establish internet connectivity*.

As long as there is a connected device, the router will not enter Standby Mode.

*Note: Your HomeFi device may take a few extra seconds to reconnect as it re-establishes the strongest connection to the cell towers in your area.
